APPEAL – Burmese Refugee Crisis

At approximately 11:30am on Saturday 6th June, the Burma Army and DKBA (Democratic Karen Buddhist Army) began a new military offensive close to an Internally Displaced Peoples’ camp on the Thai-Burma border. Because of this almost 4000 people have now had to flee their homes and be evacuated across into Thailand. Many of these people have already fled their villages during previous attacks

There are now thousands left with only what they could carry across the border.

Partners Relief and Development has already been supporting the people in this area for many years, frequently delivering much needed emergency aid supplies such as food, clothing, shelter and medicine.

We are now also fully involved in getting emergency relief and assistance to those in need in Thailand.

This gift will help our on-the-ground, life-saving efforts and will go a long way to making a massive difference.
