Often children are abandoned or run away from home because of extreme poverty. Monica’s story...

I live in one of the girls’ homes but my sister is living at high risk. She is only a toddler but she has to beg for her food from cars that pass by where my mum stays. You can’t really call it a home. There is a mattress on the floor for anyone to sleep in but it is dirty and dangerous in this place. I know my sister is scared and I know she would be much safer and happier to live away from that place.
