Neighbourhood Eat

Organisation: Jacob’s Well Ministry
Target Location: Canada

Each week Jacob's Well have a meal with neighbourhood residents.  They are invited to participate in meal creation, serving, set-up and clean up.  About forty socially marginalized people from Downtown Eastside of Vancouver come each week.  The Charity has a unique approach to providing community for the residents of the neighbourhood, many of whom struggle with drug and alcohol addictions, as well as mental illness.
